Now once again Maša Kores Photography, As The Light Slowly Fades and myself find ourselves at another prime piece of real estate.
The house was built in the 19th century in various stages. One key feature was the medieval style tower which stood proud at the top of the mansion.
Another feature of Villa Poss is the six hectare grounds with stables, out houses, grottos and my favourite feature the two raised patios that stand above the lakeside.
There have been a number of key residents here including a minister for Napoleon and a Polish prince.
It is clear this mansion has been abandoned for sometime now, it is now a shadow of its former self. The prominent tower collapsed a long time ago along with external walls and most of the roof has fallen in on itself. I would say its not got long left before its too late.
Since 2000 there have been plans to refurbish the building into a cultural centre but due to lack of financial backing this project has not been fruitful.
