As soon as we arrive in Italy we are heading for the Swiss border to our accommodation for the night. An abandoned villa with a gorgeous view. We arrive around midnight and struggle to find access eventually I work out a way and its not easy. A bit of teamwork with Maša Kores Photography and As The Light Slowly Fades over a rather large drop and we get ourselves and all our gear inside. We have a quick look around then retire to the balcony to enjoy the view, a couple of beers and a well deserved catch up.
Ever since I had seen this location I wanted to wake up to the beautiful view. Set high up on a hill with a large lake below it was a perfect start to the first full day of the trip.
Built in the 18th century as a summer retreat by a wealthy baron. What a perfect location to escape to for the summer. Set in large grounds with tropical plants, surrounded by exquisite villas and accompanied with the view this beautiful abandoned villa is worth some serious cash.
According to rumours after the baron the home was owned by undesirables and is now left to rot and decay. If the previous owner is that much of an undesirable maybe they are in prison, who knows. There was minimal contents here when I first see images appear, now all that is left are a few wicker chairs. So maybe someone has some plans for this villas future.
