Little Plumstead is an abandoned hospital complex in Norfolk.
While acting as a local tour guide I took a few friends including Proj3ct M4yh3m to this abandoned hospital.
In 1927 The Mental Deficiency Act showed a need for accommodation for mental defectives. In 1928 the Norfolk County Council purchased Little Plumstead Hall Estate which included the main hall you see here.
In April 1930 the first patient was admitted. Patient numbers grew and so did the site which totalled quite a few buildings including a hydrotherapy pool. Some of these buildings have since been demolished to make way for new housing.
As you can see the building was well boarded and light was not on our side in here.
However some really nice features including the plaster ceilings and the staircase stand out.
Sadly sometime in 2014 staircase was pretty much destroyed.
