I came across this small beautiful mortuary chapel set in a cemetery while doing some research. I couldn't find much information on it, but thought it would be worth a look. I was pleasantly surprised to find access and even more surprised at what I found inside.
Built in the mid 19th century with rusticated stone. It has a small bell tower above the archway which leads you into the cemetery. Access was only available to this larger part however the other side of the archway looked as though it was being used for storage.
Inside were pews which flanked the length of the chapel, a pulpit, a bier with rollers and a coffin trolley or cart made by Dorset Works over 100 years ago.
