As you can see from the first image we were lucky to see any of this abandoned paper mill in France.
Attached to the power station there was still a fair amount of equipment. This place must of been awesome before they started to demolish it sadly they started with the actual paper mill.
I am unsure of PM3 but PM4 was put into production in 1961. This probably lead to the need of the second power station. PM4 was one of the first machines to produce coated paper and this lead to being the main production on the site during the 1980’s.
PM3 and PM4 closed down in 2006 leaving only one machine in production. This caused a lot of social conflict but if there isn't enough customers it puts the whole site at risk.
The Green Recovery, a French investment fund which specialises in the restructuring of struggling companies planned to purchase PM3 and PM4 but the project fell through in the last minute.
