Seraing is an abandoned industrial mecca! So much here and so much to explore.

I guarantee there are still hidden gems here but time is slipping away for this industrial heritage. The town is undergoing a huge rejuvenation project and sites are being demolished as you read this. This certainly isn't a bad thing for the community, thousands of jobs must of been lost over the years. With new projects comes new opportunities and will most definitely boost the morale of the community. All of the sites are interlinked with conveyors that pass over peoples houses, some possibly a few feet away. Not a site you want to see when you open your bedroom curtains in the morning. I have even seen conveyors that run through the roof of a supermarket!

During my first visit here at the end of 2013 some of the sites were still active including the coke works. I was in awe as I took images of the flames and smoke blasting out of the site. Now its an overgrown ruin and looks like its been abandoned for years. Its amazing how quickly nature and vandals take over.
