Set about 1100 metres above sea level we find the Red Cross Hospital. Set up a short track which seemed to take forever to walk up in the baking sun.
As we enter the building we come across graffiti and vandalism. Luckily this soon disappears and only a small amount of graffiti is found around the rest of the site.
A large building based around a central chapel. The chapel has a large red cross on the ceiling which is how the building gained its name.
A religious children's colony which I believe was founded around the turn of the 20th century. It was eventually abandoned in the 1980's and has been left empty ever since.
Sadly I am unable to find much history on this location, which is quite surprising due to its size and popularity with urban explorers.
