A large swimming pool built in the 1920's in an extemely grand neo-renaissance style with gorgeous metal beams and a large arched glass roof. Moisture damaged the structure and after two renovations, we are left with a slightly more standard looking swimming pool.
Some features still remain including the spittoons or chracoirs and the lifesaver statue. Closed around the turn of the century for health and safely reasons. Near on 15 years later it is still abandoned and actually in quite good condition.
Earlier in the year I got to visit Piscine Mosque, another abandoned swimming pool in Belgium
