There actually was another room of interest.
Undergoing renovation in the German city of Dusseldorf is this large abandoned justice complex.
Built around 1910 it housed the internal affairs agency and the district court. Operations here ceased in 2009. It has been left abandoned ever since.
The whole building is pretty much stripped other than this one room with an amazing staircase.
There is no cutting short on the details here. Egyptian style carved figures look over the main hall, beautiful carved blocks built into the stairs and intricate plasterwork on the ceiling.
It seems they are planning to keep this room as a key feature to the new project.
