Fisons is a large abandoned factory just outside Ipswich in Suffolk.
I had paid a visit here over two years before but the savage guard dog put us off even trying to get into the site.
This time no dog was to be seen and it was a rather relaxed visit, apart from some of the flooring on the upper floors.
Joseph Fison established the first fertiliser production on this site in 1858. Over the years other compnaies around East Anglia merged and in 1960 Fisons Ltd was founded.
In 1982 the Norwegian company Norsk Hydro purchased the comapny for the sum of £50 million.
Through the 1990's the company struggled and the last company to use the site was Scotts of Marysville, Ohio.
Production at the Scotts site ended around 2003 with the loss of nearly seventy jobs. The buildings have been left neglected and abandoned ever since.
