Now when you see this abandoned building in Suffolk from the outside it really shows some promise. It looks like a big castle. Sadly it doesn't quite live up to the expectations and vandals have had their way with it, this is likely to happen in a large town. It does have one stunning room so it was well worth the visit.
Originally built in 1837 as a prison and court of law. In 1906 it became the headquarters for the East Suffolk County Council.
In 2003 the council moved to new premises and this site has been left abandoned ever since.
