The drive in the UK was not easy, really heavy rain and lightening had to travel about 30 to 40 mph on the motorway as visibility was that poor. The passengers had fun as they were playing with their phones trying to shoot the lightening. All I could think was I had at least another three and a half hour drive once we got through the tunnel.
Luckily France and Belgium was rather clear and we arrived in good time. It turned out to be a good weekend weather and location wise.
No real decay and some beautiful features. It is hard to believe this place has been left like this. Its last use was a top class restaurant and at the time of this visit was up for sale for a remarkably low price.
The chateau has since been purchased by an events company based in Switzerland. So hopefully it will be put to good use again soon.
If you Enjoyed this you may well like Chateau JM another pristine chateau in Belgium.
