Chateau Poseidon: France March 2018

This abandoned chateau was built in what was a fortified farm. Now only one tower of the farm remains in front of this small but grand chateau.

The chateau was built in the early 1860's in a neo-renaissance style and is flanked on all four corners with round towers.

I am afraid I can't find much history on this beautiful chateau, just lots of old postcards for sale. So I will leave it to your imagination of what life here was once like.

Chateau Poseidon: External is fairly flamboyant.

Chateau Poseidon: The entrance hall comprises oa wooden door with stained glass windows and a grand wooden staircase.

Chateau Poseidon: Sadly the fireplace had been stolen.

Chateau Poseidon: Again another missing frieplace but the ceiling is nice.

Chateau Poseidon: The landing has a large alcove with stained galss windows.

Chateau Poseidon: There was a small spiral staircase leading up to the next floor.

Chateau Poseidon: The other way lead to bedrooms that were bare and lacking in features.
