An abandoned quarry near Hadleigh in Suffolk. I believe the site had been abandoned for thirty years before work started here again.
In 1997 there was a number of conditions dictatedby the council about filling the quarry which they abided to and kept the local residents happy. Brett aggregates wanted to build a concrete factory on the site but there was major opposition from local residents who claimed the gravel crusher was nearing maximum noise levels. Even though they had permission for the project for some reason it never went ahead. This probably lead to the demise of the site.
Now it lays dormant and rusting away.
