Banjo Cottage: UK March 2013
A small derelict cottage in the Fenlands of Norfolk.
The Fens are a stark flat area in East Anglia containing mostly farmland with a few villages and towns scattered about.
It is said that late at night you can hear banjos playing from this small abandoned cottage. I actually tried to find out if you could hear them at around 4am on a cold winters night. Sadly we took the wrong route and couldn't get near the cottage due to a small ditch. It was too cold so we retreated back for a warm cup of tea.
I returned the next day to grab a few photos. I was here about twenty minutes and by time I left I was freezing and the externals were taken as it started to snow.
There are quite a few derelict homes in the Fenlands I also visited Fens Farm and the Fenland Farmhouse.
